Your SkinPen microneedling treatment will be done in one of our private treatment rooms while you rest comfortably in a reclining chair. To begin, we will thoroughly cleanse your face and apply a numbing cream to ensure a pleasant experience.
We will then apply a serum to your face and move the SkinPen over the treatment area. This process is extremely comfortable and will last about 30 minutes. Although we will provide you with a personalized treatment plan during your private consultation, most of our patients require three sessions spaced one month apart to achieve their optimal results, along with routine maintenance visits moving forward.
After your SkinPen procedure is complete, we will provide you with a special calming lotion to apply to the treatment area. Most patients are able to return to work and their normal daily routine the day after their session.
Some mild to moderate redness, pinpoint bleeding, and mild swelling are normal the first day after your appointment. By the second day, any residual redness can be easily covered with makeup and by the third day, all side effects should be gone.
SkinPen produces visible results very quickly. Within one week, most of our patients see an improvement in their complexion and more radiant skin. You will likely need a few sessions to achieve your desired results. Although we will help you compose a custom treatment plan during your private consultation, most of our patients require one maintenance SkinPen session every three to four months to preserve their results.
